The MS Team passionately participated in the Move challenge throughout November, dedicating their efforts to raise funds for #Movember. This initiative aimed to tackle the critical concerns of men’s mental health and the alarming rate of suicides globally.
The MS Team pledged to collectively walk or run a total of 480 kilometres throughout November. Individually, each team member aimed to cover 60 kilometres, symbolising the devastating statistic that 60 men lose their lives to suicide every hour around the world.
Shockingly, three out of four suicides are men, emphasising the urgent need for awareness and support in addressing men’s mental health. The campaign highlighted that while there is no single reason why men take their own lives, improving overall mental health can significantly reduce the risk of suicide. By participating in the Move challenge, the MS Team aimed not only to raise funds but also to promote awareness and encourage conversations around mental health.
We are delighted to report that the MS Team successfully exceeded their target, covering a cumulative distance of 674 kilometres and raising over £600 for the #Movember charity. The funds raised will contribute to initiatives focused on enhancing mental health support and suicide prevention for men worldwide.
As we close the chapter on November, we hope that the MS Team’s dedication and fundraising success inspire others to join the movement for men’s mental health. Together, they have made a meaningful impact, reinforcing the importance of open dialogue and community support in the ongoing battle against suicide.
Congratulations to the MS Team on their commendable efforts.
