MS Maintenance Solutions Ltd (MS) is proud to announce the installation of a new solar car-park canopy in partnership with Wiltshire Council, further strengthening the council’s commitment to sustainability and carbon reduction.
The project, taking place at County Hall — the council’s main headquarters — will generate renewable energy that feeds directly back into the building. The initiative will help reduce the council’s carbon footprint and support its ambition to become carbon neutral by 2030.
In addition to its environmental benefits, the solar canopy will deliver immediate and ongoing cost savings, building on the £1 million already saved through energy efficiency measures across the council’s estate.
Alongside the County Hall installation, MS is also delivering a second solar project at Melksham Community Campus. The popular community facility, which includes a gym and swimming pool, will also benefit from clean, renewable energy generation as part of the council’s wider sustainability strategy.
Both projects are scheduled for completion in Spring 2026, marking another significant step forward in creating a greener, more energy-efficient future for Wiltshire.
Ed Mattinson, Senior Project Manager at MS said:
“We are proud to be partnering with Wiltshire Council on these forward-thinking projects. Making buildings more sustainable is a core part of what we do, and it plays an important role in our wider ESG strategy. We look forward to seeing both installations completed and delivering long-term benefits for the council and the local community.”
