Main
Responsibilities

General

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on assets to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
  • To ensure maintenance is carried out to the highest standard and report any follow-up actions to the relevant manager/supervisor/helpdesk.
  • To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety of work areas and report any areas of concern to relevant manager/supervisor.
  • Ensure the company vehicle (should this form part of your role) is clean, tidy, and well-organised at all times, reflecting the company’s commitment to professionalism and quality service. Complete regular vehicle inspection reports in conjunction with company fleet administrator.
  • Present a professional image on-site, adhering to the company dress code and wearing the appropriate workwear.
  • Work safely and responsibly, always adhering to the company’s safety procedures and guidelines.

Team /Skill Specific

  • To carry out tasks in line with SFG20 maintenance specification.
  • To collaborate with colleagues in the maintenance division.

Administration/Reports

  • To complete electronic worksheets and PDF/print reports on the day the work is carried out and left on site.
  • Communicate professionally with the helpdesk and all staff members throughout the company, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • To ensure the helpdesk is updated with your work status daily.

Finance

  • To complete timesheets weekly.
  • To submit all overtime via timesheets which the cut-off is 10th of every month.
  • To submit expenses no later than Tuesday midday every week to ensure no delays in payment.

Communication

  • To develop a good working relationship with co-workers and work closely with the helpdesk.
  • Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns, answering questions, and providing exceptional customer service.

Essential

Relevant experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial building services.

Technical Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Good understanding of commercial building services.
  • Demonstrate good trouble shooting skills to ensure 1 st
    fix issues (where possible).
  • Ability to work alone.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Punctual.
  • Professional – smart appearance in company uniform.
  • Solutions focused.

Soft Skills

  • City and Guilds electrically qualified.
  • City & Guilds – Electrical Installation 2360 Part 1 & 2
    along with AM2.
  • Mechanical Engineering City & Guilds NVQ level
    2&3.
  • Plumbing and heating NVQ level 2.

Desirable

Qualifications – applicable to core skill set of candidates. Below or equivalent NVQ.

  • City & Guilds 2382-22 18th Edition.
  • GCSEs at grade A – C in English Language and Mathematics
    (or equivalent).
